JUDAIC COMPUTER ART by PKPD
Art is inspirational, especially in a Sacred environment. It imbues symbolism. It enhances the experiential narrative. This is an attempt to integrate those great qualities of art into our design of sacred spaces. The Star of David, as a Judaic symbol, is the inspiration for the two panels above.
This design was generated through a script that was written for a computer application. The design was defined by specifications for the design parameters. Form, proportion, color, texture, etc are all given a range of acceptable parameters that create the ensemble.

The Conversation
Phillip Katz participated in the 2012 Conversation at the Pearlstone Retreat Center in Baltimore, Maryland. The Conversation: Jewish In America is a unique project based on a simple concept: bringing together about 55 American Jews who are leaders or potential leaders in their respective fields to talk about the future of Jewish life in this country and what it means to be Jewish in the 21st century.
Sponsored by The Jewish Week, the program is intended to provide a safe and creative place for people from a wide span of religious, political and generational perspectives – but who share a love for the Jewish people and care about its history, survival and advancement – to meet, talk, and imagine together.
